For years, we’ve been self-funding data protection engineering research, which outcomes are subject to patent application (info available online).
Most of our research outcomes helped facilitating and substantially advanced ongoing discussions about consent, online controls and digital fundamental rights exercised in practice (i.e. UK data protection bill, EU Commission Cookie Pledge, EDPB “Consent or OK” guidelines).
Today, to be impactful, our tools (iOS & Chrome apps & idside.eu website) must be utilised. We will be in full capacity to empower people online if most/many people install ID side (on Safari or Chrome) and, doing so, count among those reclaiming control over their personal data.
In practice thought, the problem we face today is that loading an extension is not something non-GenZ people would do spontaneously!
