In 2020, ID side team started developing a fully detailed set of free privacy services including cookie visualisations, a DPOs' Directory, ready-to-use templates for individuals to exercise their rights in few clicks, a Privacy Choice dashboard allowing people to share their preferences wherever they browse, 4 Privacy profiles to help people set such preferences in few clicks,… It was a thrilling but also highly demanding task for a tiny-even-if-highly-motivated team, having other professional activities to carry out. But, in many different ways, our inputs started proving they are game-changing ones.

For instance, our app/API Proof of Concept demonstrates that a user-centric and machine-readable set of features empowers individuals to share their by-default privacy choices wherever they browse, seamlessly. And that such a PoC could address consent fatigue and imbalance of powers online.

Based on such PoC, and taking stock of individuals most pressing needs online, our team decided to specifically focus in 2023 on cookies and cookie banners' automatic filling.
