On September 5, ID side presented the Light Web, ID side patent application, and its cookie banner auto-filling Proof of Concept (PoC) to the UK Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT).
Discussions revolved around the feasibility of a user-centric automated solution enabling internet users to share their commercial preferences and privacy choices online in a few clicks.
ID side shared the contributions it made to several reflections in the EU about consent, cookies, and online choices— notably under the supervision of the EDPB and EU Commission (DG Connect).
ID side committed to connect with the ICO and to keep DSIT informed about its next app and extension iterations.
