In June 2024, ID side decided to restructure its Tech team. After an internal audit of our cookie banners' auto-filling solution, it appeared essential to us to connect with Consent-o-matic teams and pay tribute to Aarhus University R&D and the apps rolled out on Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge for the desktop, and Safari for mobile.

We are grateful for the exchange we had with Consent-o-matic co-founder. In their solution, driven by the will to address consent fatigue and dark patterns, Consent-o-matic founders set a Tech cornerstone for other app developers, such as ID side, to go beyond cookie banners' consent gaps & glitches and design a browser extension empowering individuals to automatically share their preferences beyond cookie choices.

Since 2019, ID side developed such "Google forms" for individuals to automatically and seamlessly share any set of choices—whether it deals with Privacy, Safety, AI further use of personal data, or commercial preferences. To showcase our approach on cookie banners, we had the opportunity to build on the shoulders of an academic PoC giant, and we remain genuinely grateful to Consent-o-matic team for sharing their insights and network.
